I was given the opportuniy by Allah SWT to perform Umrah during ramadan. I arrived in Madinah on 14th day of Ramadan and left Mekah on 28 Ramadan. I wanted to experience the last 10 days of Ramadan and Trawih and qunoot by Sudais.

I arrived in Jeddah on 12 Jan 2005 morning. Immigration checking went smoothly. All of us were in ihram (umrah or haj ihram). I was in Ifrad Ihram for about 10 days. Words cannot describe the feeling, the emotion and the experience of Haj. Just remembering that days of haj will bring tears to my eyes. Haj changed my life. Haj changed how I see things in life.

I was searching for miracles..... and I simply found answers in people faces. People all colours, near and far, rich and poor, gathered in the Holy land for one reason that is to worship Allah. Chanting Labbaik ALLAHuma Labbaik. I looked at people with love. I just wanted to understand what everyone gone through just to get here.The journey was not easy for everyone. The sacrifice was huge. Life saving was gone. Time was long. There were nothing we brought back except what we gained inside.

We boarded the flight home from Madinah on 20 Feb 2005 with heavy heart. Just wondering when Allah will give us the chance to chant Labbaik ALLAHuma Labbaik again.
